What we do / what we don’t
We do
- Compare language-school and university routes for Vietnamese students
- Organize admission and D-2 / D-4 document checklists by school and nationality
- Coordinate translation, notarization, and apostille / legalization when required
- Point you to current embassy and Study in Korea / GKS official checklists
We don’t
- Guarantee visa approval, admission, or scholarship awards
- Replace universities, embassies, NIIED, or immigration officers
- Copy or republish embassy or NIIED text as an official checklist
HezoKorea provides consulting and document coordination. We are not an embassy, law firm, or university. Schools and embassies decide.

Common pathways for Vietnamese students
A typical path: shortlist a language institute or university → prepare notarized/academic files → receive admission letter → book embassy visa appointment → register ARC after arrival. Many students begin on D-4-1 and later pursue D-2 admission inside Korea when rules allow.

Typical documents for Vietnamese applicants
Orientation only for Vietnam files — not a complete embassy list.
- Vietnamese civil documents (birth certificate, household registration extracts) are frequently requested when parents sponsor tuition or living costs.
- Passport bio page and recent photo (format per embassy)
- Standard Admission Letter / Certificate of Admission from the Korean school
- Proof of financial ability in the format your embassy currently accepts

Legalization / apostille path
How Vietnamese academic and civil documents are often prepared (confirm each document type):
- High school or university diplomas and transcripts may need notarization in Vietnam and authentication for use in Korea, the exact chain depends on document type and issuing authority.
- Certified Korean or English translation is required when originals are not in a language the school or embassy accepts.

Embassy notes (TB, finances, appointments)
Rules are set by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam. Verify each note on the embassy site before you rely on it.
- Long-term student visas (D-2 / D-4) commonly require a tuberculosis (TB) test result for Vietnamese applicants, confirm the latest embassy checklist before your appointment. (verify on the embassy site)
- Financial proof often uses a Vietnamese bank balance certificate or a parent/guardian sponsor package with family-relationship documents. (verify on the embassy site)
- Passport validity should cover your intended stay; renew early if it expires within six months of travel. (verify on the embassy site)
