Three common South Korea itinerary lengths. We adjust neighborhoods, booking holds, and backups for your exact dates, these are starting shapes, not locked scripts.
5 days: Seoul + one day trip
Four days in Seoul (palace/old-town, shopping districts, food neighborhoods) plus one day trip outside the city, typically about 1–2 hours each way by subway or train, depending on the destination.
Backup: if rain hits or a Monday museum closure blocks the outdoor day, swap in an indoor market, café stretch, or covered shopping block already on your map pins.
7 days. Seoul and Busan by KTX
Four days in Seoul, then three in Busan. Seoul–Busan KTX is about 2.5 hours; we plan the transfer day so you are not racing last trains with luggage.
Backup: rain or a Monday closure in either city moves outdoor viewpoints to indoor markets, museums that are open that day, or a café/food block already viability-checked for your dates.
10 days: Seoul, Busan, plus Jeju or Gyeongju
Keep the seven-day Seoul + Busan KTX spine, then add Jeju (about 1 hour by air from Seoul or Busan area airports) or Gyeongju (about 50–60 minutes by train from Busan, or a longer direct rail ride from Seoul).
Backup: weather on Jeju or a Monday site closure in Gyeongju shifts to indoor cultural stops, markets, or a buffer café half-day so the rest of the route still works.

How many days do you need in South Korea?
Five days fits Seoul plus one day trip (about 1–2 hours each way by subway or train). Seven days works well as four days in Seoul and three in Busan by KTX (about 2.5 hours). Ten days keeps that Seoul–Busan spine and adds Jeju or Gyeongju. We shape the exact days after we review your dates.
What is the best first-time South Korea itinerary?
For most first visits, start in Seoul, then take the KTX to Busan (about 2.5 hours). That split covers city neighborhoods, food, and a second city without overpacking the calendar. Longer trips can add Jeju or Gyeongju after that spine.
Do you book flights or collect hotel payments?
No. We recommend hotels with official booking links; you pay the hotel or OTA at the live rate. Flights are yours to arrange.
What is the difference between Plan Only and Plan + Book?
Plan Only is consult, day-by-day plan, pins, transport, backups, app setup, and one revision, no reservations. Plan + Book adds restaurant and paid-ticket holds in the traveler's passport name. Pricing for both is provided via inquiry after we review your dates.
What if a restaurant hold cancels?
On Plan + Book we reconfirm 48 hours ahead. If a hold dies, we replace it the same business day when possible.
Can I send an AI-generated itinerary?
Yes, paste whatever you have. We keep what works for your dates and cut what will not.
